Polish hotel group Malmaison has enjoyed great success from a series of informational videos designed to boost benefits enrollment, according to Asperity Employee Benefits, the U.K.-based voluntary benefits firm that produced the videos.

The videos use screencasting, which shows keystrokes and mouse movements with an audio track, to walk employees through the enrollement process.

Initial data shows 80 percent of employees who saw the videos later enrolled in the benefits program, according to Asperity. Registration increased 60 percent over the previous quarter.

The videos were produced in English and Polish, the two largest natural languages at Malmaison.

“Screencasting is a really useful technique which provides many of the benefits of video with a much lower cost than full video production," Glenn Elliott, managing director for Asperity, said in a press release. "It’s great for demonstrating online systems and with the success of this pilot we’ll be developing further modules to help clients cost-effectively communicate all parts of their benefits to employees.”
